Painting, painting, painting...

This is a painting I did for mom  for Mother's Day.  I took the colors from her bedroom and bathroom to make her a nice piece of art for her room.

On the subject of painting, we went to the Painted Clay Studio to paint pottery for Maggie's birthday.  It was so much fun and a great way to just hang out.  You pick a piece of pottery from a variety of choices and paint it any way you like.  I chose a dog treat jar, Maggie chose a turtle, Joanna chose a dragon, Mika chose small triangles to make necklaces out of, and mom's is a secret until Christmas.

The colors will look different after it has been fired in the kiln, so you choose paint from pieces that have already been fired.  The pieces are numbered and then you go grab the bottles of paint that correspond.

Freddy the dragon and Franklin the turtle.

A treat jar for Angel and Jules

I'm sure we will go back, especially after mom found out you can bring your own wine!

Cotton Eyed Joe

Don't ask why, just enjoy...because I have no explanation.

BTW It was about 100 degrees outside, which is why she has to take a little break.

Happy Birthday illyum!

William is 24!  I haven't given him his present yet so I will put pictures of that up later.  Last night we hung out at his house and had pizza. Yum!  Today, Mag, William, Joanna, and I saw Due Date and had mom's birthday spaghetti dinner and a cookie cake.  I will post pictures of that later, plus the present.  In honor of the birthday boy, I thought I would put up a few things.

How adorable is he??

It's Fall Y'all

This a miscellaneous post but finally fall is here and I am very happy.  Here Jules is seen sporting her new fall scarf from the groomer's new collection.

And the ground smells even better during fall!
This is the look I get when I speak the forbidden word, "Angel".  They fight like me and Maggie.

So Maggie and I kept hearing a noise coming from somewhere and we just knew it was a bug.  He decided to appear the other day.  Needless to say, we called mom.

She took her time, drank some wine, and finally...

...she rescued the bug!

This is a note I have had for a long time.  Maggie made it for me and left it on my bed one night.  She can be sweet!  Notice the way she spelled "just".  Exactly how we say it :)  It is a song, by the way.
(good night, don't be scared, just go over again)

I love it!
Happy Fall and enjoy the nice weather!

A day at the ballpark with my new camera and extra large zoom and some great models ;)

Maggie had a tournament the same day as Shelby's birthday party.  We hit the party then headed to the game.  Aunt Sissy and Makyna showed up to watch Maggie play.
(p.s. I know the pic totally messes up the layout, I just like it that big anyway)

The day was around 78 degrees...all day.  It was awesome.  Maggie loves little Makyna.
Getting her ready for her future as a softball player.  I think every one of the cousins played baseball or softball, sorry Makyna, it's inevitable.  She seemed to like it well enough.
 Her future coach.
She LOVED Thunder, and that cell phone.
Mommy and Daddy are in trouble.
"Yeah, so like, OMG, I know, right?"

Now, for the game...

I forget the score and what happened, but they did well, 2nd or 3rd I think :)
Hey, I was taking pictures.
"Plays at 4, ladies!"
  She winds up...

She is a little more relaxed now.  I LOVE this picture of her.

After the games...
The champion

Serious discussions about the games...

Kisses for mom, possibly forced kisses

Anyway, as you can probably see, I am loving my new camera.  Me and Maggie are wanting to start a pet/people photography business.  How fun would that be?!
