Gingerbread Christmas Tree

Every Christmas season Maggie and I make a gingerbread house, but this year Mom found a tree.  It was pretty cute until we put our decorations on it.  We're not the best with icing.  But hey, it's about the memories, right?

Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook

A few weeks before Christmas, Mom and I found a dog treat cookbook at Barnes and Noble.  The Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook came with three cookie cutters and tons of wonderfully healthy recipes.  I decided to make a few for all the special dogs in my life for Christmas.

The first batch I made was called Plumpkin, not because they are fattening, but because they are "pumpkin cookies dropped from Heaven".  They smelled delicious!

oat flour, brown rice flour, cinnamon

nutmeg and ginger

applesauce

egg

pumpkin

and water

I mixed everything together, placed on the cookie sheet, and baked...and waited...and took pictures while I waited.

Ta-da!  They looked and smelled delicious!  And tasted delicious, but not sweet.  Yes, I ate them :)

The next batch was called Banana B'oat.  It included oat flour, brown rice four, cinnamon, rolled oats, oat bran, one egg, bananas and water.  I pureed the bananas in my Ninja and added all the ingredients.

Sorry, there's no final picture of the Banana B'oat cookies because Maggie was distracting me, but I assure you they were thoroughly enjoyed by Jules, Sookie, Baron, Angel, Bella, and Tobey.  Everyone approved.

Christmas at Aunt Becky and Uncle Buddy's

The older we get the harder it is to find a time for everyone to get together for the holidays, but I'm so glad we make it work.  We picked a time where the most amount of cousins could come to Aunt Becky and Uncle Buddy's house, which turned out to be December 16th.  We always fill up on yummy food and drinks and enjoy the company, with plenty of picture taking and little kid wrestling.

This little Shelby montage was all her, I was just there to document :)

Can't believe these little guys are writing their own names on their own cups.

In mid sentence telling me, "Aunt Becky makes some gooooood sweet tea!"

Aunt Becky's tree.  One ornament for each loss in Connecticut.

Shelby and Makyna were the distributors.  They thought it was hilarious when one had to deliver a present to the other.
