A few weeks before Christmas, Mom and I found a dog treat cookbook at Barnes and Noble. The Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook came with three cookie cutters and tons of wonderfully healthy recipes. I decided to make a few for all the special dogs in my life for Christmas.
The first batch I made was called Plumpkin, not because they are fattening, but because they are "pumpkin cookies dropped from Heaven". They smelled delicious!
oat flour, brown rice flour, cinnamon |
nutmeg and ginger |
applesauce |
egg |
pumpkin |
and water |
I mixed everything together, placed on the cookie sheet, and baked...and waited...and took pictures while I waited.
Ta-da! They looked and smelled delicious! And tasted delicious, but not sweet. Yes, I ate them :)
The next batch was called Banana B'oat. It included oat flour, brown rice four, cinnamon, rolled oats, oat bran, one egg, bananas and water. I pureed the bananas in my Ninja and added all the ingredients.
Sorry, there's no final picture of the Banana B'oat cookies because Maggie was distracting me, but I assure you they were thoroughly enjoyed by Jules, Sookie, Baron, Angel, Bella, and Tobey. Everyone approved.

I like this post and the Christmas decor pictures. My favorite is the bottom of the Christmas tree and all the presents. :)
And Baron and Angel are still enjoying your treats! Thanks Aunt Chelsea and Sister Chelsea. :)
